Privacy policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information YomaChichi ("we," "us," "our") collects when you visit or buy from Divarim Shebilev LLC (doing business as YomaChichi, "the Store"), why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to yomachichi.com and any related storefronts we operate.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
Divarim Shebilev LLC 24 Palamino Dr, Jackson Township, NJ 08527 Email: team@yomachichi.com
We are the "data controller" for the personal information described below — the party responsible for deciding why and how it's used.
2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Contact and order information: name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number (if provided), collected when you place an order or sign up for emails.
- Payment information: we do not receive or store your full card number. Payment is processed by Shopify Payments (or another payment processor we may use), who collects and stores card details directly under its own privacy policy.
- Your pet's photo: the photo you upload of your pet so we can create a custom illustrated portrait. This is the core of what we do, and we treat it as sensitive personal content — see Section 3 for exactly how it's used and Section 6 for who it's shared with.
- Order customization details: number of pets, any notes you add at checkout (e.g., gift messages), and your approval of the digital proof/preview.
- Communications: anything you send us via email or a contact form, including support requests, complaints, and refund/reprint requests.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and similar analytics data, collected via Shopify's built-in analytics and cookies.
- Advertising identifiers and pixel data: if you arrive from or interact with a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) or Pinterest ad, those platforms' pixels/tags may collect data about your visit and actions on our site, used to measure ad performance and build audiences for future ads (see Section 6).
- Cookies: small files stored in your browser to keep your cart working, remember preferences, and support analytics/advertising as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; doing so may affect checkout functionality.
3. How we use your pet's photo, specifically
Because this is the most sensitive thing we ask for, here is exactly what happens to it:
- You upload a photo through our product page.
- The photo is sent to a third-party AI image-generation service (currently OpenAI's image API, called through our portrait service hosted on Vercel) to generate a stylized illustration of your pet.
- You review a preview of the illustration and approve it (or upload a different photo and try again) before anything is purchased or produced.
- Once you approve it, the illustration — not your original raw photo — is sent to Printify, our print-on-demand manufacturer, so it can be printed onto your blanket or tote bag.
- Your original uploaded photo and the generated illustration are retained only as long as needed to fulfill your order and handle any reprint/warranty claim under our Returns policy, after which they are deleted from our own systems. Copies may still exist in the AI provider's or Printify's own systems under their respective retention policies — see Section 6.
We do not use your pet's photo for any purpose other than creating your order, unless you separately and explicitly agree — for example, opting in to let us feature your pet's portrait in our marketing or social media (Section 3.1).
3.1 Marketing use of your photo or portrait
We will never post your uploaded photo, your pet's finished portrait, or your name publicly (in ads, social media, or on our site) without asking you first and getting your clear, separate "yes." If you don't respond or say no, we simply won't use it — your order is fulfilled exactly the same either way.
4. Your photo and your rights to it
By uploading a photo, you confirm you own it or otherwise have the right to let us use it to create your order (see the license grant in our Terms of Service, Section 4). We use your photo strictly to provide the product and service you ordered.
5. Why we collect and use information
- To take, process, and fulfill your order (name, address, payment, photo/illustration).
- To communicate with you about your order (confirmations, shipping updates, proof approval, support).
- To operate and improve the Store (analytics on what pages/products perform).
- To advertise the Store on Meta and Pinterest, and to measure whether those ads work (pixel/conversion data).
- To send marketing emails, if you've opted in (welcome series, abandoned-cart reminders, promotions) — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to comply with legal obligations (tax records, responding to a lawful request from a court or regulator).
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run the Store:
| Who | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify (platform provider) | All order, account, and site-usage data | Shopify hosts our store, processes checkout, and stores order records. See Shopify's Privacy Policy. |
| Shopify Payments (or other payment processor) | Payment/card details | Processing your payment. We never see or store your full card number. |
| Printify (print-on-demand manufacturer) | Shipping address, the approved illustration (not your raw photo), order details | Printing and shipping your physical product directly to you. See Printify's Privacy Policy. |
| AI image-generation provider (currently OpenAI, via our portrait service hosted on Vercel) | The photo you upload | Generating the illustrated portrait. |
| Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Pinterest | Pixel/cookie data about your visit and, if you consent, your email (in hashed form) for ad targeting/measurement | Running and measuring our ads. |
| Email service provider (Shopify Email or similar) | Your email address and order/engagement history | Sending order and marketing emails, if you've opted in. |
| Government or legal authorities | Whatever is legally required | If required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of our customers. |
We do not sell photos, illustrations, or customer data to unrelated third parties, data brokers, or advertisers outside the uses described above.
7. How long we keep information
- Order and tax records: kept as long as required by US and New Jersey tax and accounting law (typically several years).
- Uploaded photos and illustrations: kept only as long as needed to fulfill your order and handle any warranty/reprint claim (Section 3), then deleted from our systems.
- Marketing email data: kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Analytics/pixel data: retained per Shopify's, Meta's, and Pinterest's own standard retention periods, which we do not independently control.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, or to opt out of certain uses (like targeted advertising). To exercise any of these rights, email us at team@yomachichi.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and respond within the time required by applicable law.
New Jersey residents: the New Jersey Data Privacy Act gives consumers rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data and to opt out of targeted advertising and sale. We honor these rights for all customers, whether or not the law applies to a business of our size.
California and other state privacy laws: if you are a California resident (or a resident of another state with a similar consumer privacy law), you may have additional or differently-worded rights (e.g., under the CCPA/CPRA). Contact us at team@yomachichi.com and we will do our best to honor applicable rights even before we are formally required to.
Any formal legal privacy request (e.g., a data-deletion request under a specific law, or a request from a regulator) is handled personally by a human at Divarim Shebilev LLC, not by an automated system.
9. Children's privacy
YomaChichi is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.
10. Security
We rely on Shopify's platform-level security (PCI-DSS-compliant checkout, encrypted data in transit) and do not build or maintain our own separate database of card numbers. No online system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us.
11. International visitors
The Store is based in the United States and primarily serves US customers. If you access the Store from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be posted on this page; continued use of the Store after a change means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact us
Questions about this policy or your personal information: team@yomachichi.com, 24 Palamino Dr, Jackson Township, NJ 08527.
14. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where a customer's local consumer-protection or data-privacy law grants rights that cannot be waived by contract.
